Research Interests
Dr Prashanth is a medical doctor by training with an interest and specialisation in public health. His main work is in health policy and systems research, mainly around the application and use of various social science research methods within public health. Dr Prashanth is interested in research on health equity, health policy and programme evaluation and health systems strengthening at the district level. He has been involved in several inter-disciplinary projects in the interface of health, development and environment. He is also involved in teaching and writing on health systems, social determinants and the environment.
